Sharon did not begin painting until her early retirement.  Although she had a desire to paint for many years, her career, her volunteer activities and raising two sons did not allow her the time to explore.  Retirement has opened new doors and has given Sharon the opportunity to observe more closely the world around us and to meet other wonderful artists. She has found a passion in painting.

Sharon is a graduate of the University of Florida but had no formal art instruction until retirement.  Sharon has had the good fortune to study with amazing women artist, Jane Filer, Sally Sutton, Luna Ray and Nancy Marple who have not only shared their knowledge and expertise but have given Sharon confidence to try new art forms.
